Russian scientists invented flour that lowers cholesterol and speeds up metabolism

Scientists from the Russian University of Biotechnology have invented a new method to obtain flour from soybean meal. This flour is beneficial for health – it lowers cholesterol, improves metabolism, contains a lot of protein, fiber, iron, manganese and potassium. Experts have already patented the developed technology, reports RT.

Baked goods are very popular products in Russia. According to Roskachestvo, last year alone their consumption amounted to 90.3 kg per person per year. At the same time, residents are starting to give up flour and make choices in favor of a healthy lifestyle. One promising alternative is flour made from soybean meal, a secondary product of soybean processing.

As the author of the invention, Associate Professor of the Department of Grain, Baking and Confectionery Technologies at ROSBIOTECH Roman Kandrokov, explains, soy proteins are absorbed by 70%, while soybeans are also rich in other beneficial substances. Therefore, it contains potassium, sodium, calcium, iron, zinc as well as vitamins B and C.

Flour products made from soy flour do not contain cholesterol, polyunsaturated fatty acids and are low in calories.

According to Kandrokov, the development of Russian scientists allows you to turn the chute into flour, from which you can bake any baked goods, including confectionery.
