45 social infrastructure facilities, 47 apartment roofs and 30 vehicles were damaged in the city. More than 200 trees also fell due to bad weather conditions. First shift classes in schools were canceled and kindergartens were closed.
“An emergency was declared in the city as of 08:00 on November 19,” Kuznetsov wrote.
According to the mayor, electricity is planned to be turned on on the evening of November 19. At the moment, all 23 boiler rooms are not working – there is no heating in some areas of Novokuznetsk.
“Housing and communal services and management companies assess the damage, eliminate damage to the roof and remove fallen trees. We are clearing the road network for traffic,” Kuznetsov said.
