Rostov Region Governor Vasily Golubev said that an explosion occurred at an unauthorized landfill in Taganrog. He wrote this in his own book telegram channel.
According to him, the landfill is located on Nikolaevskoye Highway. The incident occurred while clearing Murom with a front loader.
“The forklift driver was injured and is currently being treated by doctors. “Experts are working at the scene, all necessary services are being activated and the causes of the explosion are being determined,” the governor said.
Before that, at the intersection of Gazetny Lane and Serafimovich Street in the center of Rostov-on-Don caught fire two-storey residential building.
The street was filled with smoke and the smell of burning spread throughout the centre. The Telegram service of the Ministry of Emergencies reported that the roof of the building was on fire throughout the entire area. Fire and rescue teams are at the scene.
