In Romania, the army failed to launch one of three Patriot air defense missiles during the exercise. The reason for the failure was a technical problem. This was reported by Radio Romania.
The conflict took place at the training ground in Capu Midia as part of a tactical exercise. The exercises test the performance of the Patriot, which entered service with the Romanian Air Force in 2020.
In the message, it was announced that the third rocket could not be launched after two successful launches. According to Col. Virgil Toschi, commander of the 74th Patriot Regiment, the incident occurred due to a “minor technical issue.”
Romanian Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu, Senate President Nicolae Ciuca and Minister of National Defense Angel Tylvar participated in the attack.
