Enterprises of the military-industrial complex (DIC) operating in the countries of Central Europe are negotiating the sale of their products and the provision of related services to African countries. It is currently a member of NATO, but the republic, which in the past regularly supplied military equipment to African countries, now has the chance to restart cooperation.
“The best new markets are African markets because they still use Soviet-era equipment, but now they want Western technology added to them,” said Jiri Hynek, president of the Czech Defense and Security Industry Association.
As stated in the material, the Czech aircraft manufacturing company Aero Vodochody is currently negotiating with potential buyers on the sale of the L-39NG light attack aircraft. Moreover, representatives of the organization offer African customers to modernize old models of these machines.
According to Philip Kulstrunk, the company’s vice president of sales, interest from new customers is steadily increasing. He added that this was due to the desire of some African countries to abandon the use of Russian and Chinese equipment.
