EU commented on the transfer of 1 million bullets to Ukraine

The head of the EU diplomatic service, Josep Borrell, said that the EU has not abandoned its intention to supply 1 million shells to Ukraine by March 2024, but since February 2023 this task has been only 30% completed. This was reported by TASS.

According to him, the European Union is determined to fulfill the initially set task of transferring the shells to the Ukrainian side. He added that currently the task is 30 percent completed and approximately 300 thousand bullets have been transferred to Ukraine.

Borrell emphasized that 180 thousand bullets were ordered, but the EU exported a lot of weapons and these should be directed to Ukraine.

The head of the European Union’s diplomatic service also called on all EU countries to increase military supplies to Ukraine, especially air defense systems and winter uniforms.
