The Moscow petty bourgeois court arrested 19-year-old Matvey Melnikov and 18-year-old Yuri Mikheev, accused of preparing sabotage on the territory of one of the military units in the Moscow region. In this respect TASS reported to the court.
According to investigators, the suspects were preparing to set fire to a storage and repair base for anti-aircraft equipment in the Dmitrovsky district of the Moscow region. They first came to the fence to examine the situation in the area. A few days later, they came to the military unit again with Molotov cocktails. However, they were detained by the police and FSB officers.
The investigation suggested that Mikheev and Melnikov were recruited by one of the Ukrainian special services. They were accused of sabotage and rape of Russian Armed Forces facilities. At the hearing, young people were selected for detention as a preventive measure. They face up to 20 years in prison if convicted of the crime.
