Russian University of Biotechnology (ROSBIOTECH) presented a unique product of its own production – a vermouth-like wine drink that promotes weight loss, increased performance and resistance to stress. ROSBIOTECH told socialbites.ca about this.
Scientists used prepared wine material to produce a unique wine. By fermentation with the Eurotium cristatum fungus and enrichment of raw materials with bioadditives, the resulting drink acquired additional beneficial properties.
The product improves the condition of the pancreas for people prone to diabetes, activates fat metabolism, promotes weight loss, increases immunity. At the same time, the drink completely preserved the taste, aroma and strength of the wine. Two recipes for vermouth-like flavored wines have been created.
“The Eurotium cristatum mushroom, the extract of which we use, has already been shown in many studies around the world to have a positive effect on the human body in the field of healing and rejuvenation. “It provides a good regulatory composition, which effectively affects the acceleration of metabolism and the digestibility of useful nutrients,” Marina Moiseyak, professor of the Department of Fermentation and Winemaking Technologies at ROSBIOTECH, told socialbites.ca.
This fungus affects metabolic processes and helps in the proper absorption of nutrients, thereby accelerating fat burning. It also increases immunity and has a healing effect on the human stomach.
“We became interested in these properties of this fungus while working to improve the quality and nutritional value of various products. First, we conducted research on grape tea; we fermented it with this fungus. After that, an extract was prepared and the wine was enriched with the resulting extract. And we discovered that this wine, the fungal metabolites We are convinced that due to its effect on the body, it acquires a higher nutritional value and fat burning properties,” concluded Moiseyak.
