In Bashkiria, the life of a patient from the Kuyurgazinsky district, who was diagnosed with a rare disease echinococcosis at the republican clinical hospital, was saved. In this respect reported Minister of Health of the Republic Ayrat Rakhmatullin on the Telegram channel.
The disease was discovered during “medical descent” studies. An ultrasound specialist from Kumertau City Hospital examined patients in the village of Kinya-Abyz. The patient, who had a cyst detected in the liver of one of the women, was sent for additional examination and was diagnosed with echinococcosis, a tape parasite infection.
“Timely examination helped to avoid sad consequences. As a result, the cyst gradually grows, which causes compression of the tissue, which can lead to rupture. When this happens, the parasite enters the circulatory system and spreads to all organs and tissues,” stated Airat Rakhmatullin.
The life and health of the patient, who underwent surgery successfully, is not in danger. The woman was discharged for outpatient treatment.
