Three former investigators of the Investigative Committee were arrested in Moscow

The Moscow Basmanny Court detained three former employees of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, suspected of committing a number of official crimes. This was reported by RIA Newssaid the court’s press service.

“Rustam Mansurovich Yusupov, Sergei Konstantinovich Romodanovsky and Andrei Semenovich Zhiryutin were selected as a preventive measure in the form of detention until January 10,” the press service said.

He noted that the suspects, depending on their role, are accused of organizing a criminal community, accepting bribes, tampering with evidence, illegal arrest or detention, as well as knowingly bringing an innocent person to justice or unlawfully initiating a criminal case.

According to data from open sources, Yusupov served as head of the Khoroshevsky interregional investigation department of the Investigative Committee. Romodanovsky was the head of the investigation department of the North-West Administrative District of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in Moscow. Zhiryutin worked as a researcher.

8 November court in Moscow arrested Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs and Head of the Investigation Department (ID) of the Republic of Dagestan Rufat Ismailov in the case of bribery and abuse of power. The investigator stated in the Moscow Basmanny Court that Ismailov and his subordinate Dalgat Abdulgapurov received bribes in the amount of 1.3 million rubles.
