State Duma supports bill on security forces’ access to databases

The State Duma Committee supported the bill proposing to allow security forces to access databases to make changes to them or delete data about their employees. This has been reported telegram channel TASS.

As the agency notes, this bill would allow law enforcement agencies to access state, municipal, and other information systems containing data regarding their employees’ affiliation with the department for the purpose of altering, depersonalizing, or deleting that data.

It is expected that an information systems record will be created by September 1, 2025, where personal data will be processed in a special way.

In October, RBC published: WroteHe said that the Russian Banking Association (ADB) does not support the bill that would give law enforcement agencies direct access to banks’ information systems and databases containing customer data.
