Bassem Naim, head of the foreign relations department of Hamas, the radical Palestinian movement in the Gaza Strip, said that the USA and Israel are preparing lists to go from the Gaza Strip to Egypt. This was reported by RIA News.
According to Naim, Hamas does not prevent foreigners from leaving Gaza. The list includes those with dual citizenship, Israelis and Americans. The lists are then transferred to the Egyptian side, which publishes them on the official website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
“We cannot play any role in this process and have no authority to create a list of those allowed to leave the Gaza Strip to Egypt. But of course we do not prevent those who want to do so from leaving the Gaza Strip,” a Hamas spokesman explained.
Before that Hamas allowed 373 foreigners will leave the Gaza Strip through the Rafah checkpoint.
There are at least 100 US citizens on the lists. Citizens of Germany, Canada, Romania, Ukraine and the Philippines are also on the list.
