A training school for unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) operators was created on the basis of the volunteer battalion named after PA Sudoplatov. This was reported by TASSReferring to the Russian Ministry of Defense.
As noted in the chapter, the battalion also established the production of attack FPV aircraft (first-person view) for the needs of units of the Russian group of forces performing combat missions of a special military operation (SVO).
They told front-line troops that hundreds of kamikaze drones were raided in a small room in the battalion. A 3D printer owned by the school can print all parts of a UAV in two days, which are then turned into a finished structure equipped with electronics and programmed.
The Ministry stated that such small production provides an advantage.
“You can quickly make changes to the design or quickly complete an individual order for a unit for a specific combat mission. “The sequence of classes is planned months in advance,” the Ministry of Defense explained.
The Ministry added that the training of students is carried out both from the first stage and that experienced warriors come to improve their skills and transfer the combat experiences they have gained on the line of combat contact.
