The military registration and enlistment office, located in the city of Zaporozhye, controlled by the Ukrainian authorities, accepts people with mental disorders. A captured soldier from the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) spoke about this, according to reports RIA News.
The man explained that he, too, had similar medical problems. However, the military commissariat still sent him to the front, having previously issued new documents for him. They did not specify any restrictions on the service.
“I already had failures to appear at the summons, that is, I already had to pay a fine and, accordingly, I was wanted, and the case already reeked of criminal liability. <…> I have a military ID <…> The captured Ukrainian soldier said, “Drugs and psychiatry were there, there was leverage, but it was completely lost.”
He added that employees of the military registration and enlistment office offered him to pay the fine and provide another military ID. At the same time, the military commissariat immediately noted that the documents would not contain any statements regarding the citizen’s mental disorders.
As a result, the man jumped at the chance to get a “clean biography” and accepted. The captured Ukrainian Armed Forces fighter emphasized that he was sent to the front line on August 12, 2023.
Previously captured Ukrainian military man saidHow drugs are supplied to soldiers at the front.
