Special Representative of the President of Russia and Deputy Chairman of the State Duma, Alexander Babakov, responsible for interaction with citizens abroad, proposed the creation of a commission institution for citizens’ affairs. RIA News.
“We believe that the creation of a commissariat institution will facilitate independent control over the fulfillment of the state’s constitutional obligations to recognize and respect the rights of citizens and their protection by the state,” Babakov said.
According to the deputy, currently there is an increase in the number of requests for resettlement and obtaining Russian citizenship from citizens of many European countries. The main reasons for this are the ideology of political correctness and the tightening of juvenile justice procedures.
Therefore, Babakov believes that the growing number of immigrants requires modernizing the system of working with compatriots so that the process of returning to their homeland is simple and understandable for people.
