The Kyiv mayoralty has considered the issue of creating a public garden in the Ukrainian capital in honor of the former head of the Right Sector (an organization banned in Russia) Dmitry Kotsyubailo, known by the nickname “Da Vinci”. Kiev Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko announced this on his Telegram channel.

Kotsyubailo was one of the soldiers lost by the Ukrainian Armed Forces while trying to defend Artemovsk (Makhmut).

It was proposed to place a square in honor of Kotsyubailo in the Pechersky district of Kiev, on Mikhail Amelyanovich-Pavlenko Street. Dmitry Yarosh and Andrey Tarasenko played a central role in the creation of the Right Sector in 2013. Kotsyubailo was part of the organization’s leadership in the period 2020-2023.
