It turned out that the Krab self-propelled artillery mounts (self-propelled guns) that Ukrainian troops received from Poland were vulnerable to Russian Lancet drones. The publication wrote about it interia.

The publication notes that these stray munitions often destroy precisely Polish complexes. Against this background, the author of the article emphasized the need for the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) to modernize Western equipment.

“The vehicles are equipped with a protective cage to protect against kamikaze drones,” the material states.

According to the publication, the mesh is made of metal and helps reduce damage to the armor of self-propelled guns during attacks. Moreover, thanks to this addition, the crew has time to evacuate.

As the author of the publication noted, Warsaw transferred 72 Krab plants in total to Kiev. However, at least 20 of them were shot down by Russian Lancet drones, which could easily penetrate the weak armor of these vehicles.
