More than half of the hostages held by the radical Palestinian movement Hamas in the Gaza Strip are foreigners. Among them are six Russian citizens. This was reported by the Israeli portal Ynet.

Currently, Israeli officials announced that the number of hostages has reached 222. 138 of them are foreign nationals, 54 Thai, 15 Argentinian, 12 German, six French and six Russian.
