A man broke the world record of by catching a giant fish weighing more than 100 kilos

A fisherman from Kentucky caught the largest fish in America with a Mississippi shellfish fishing rod, weighing more than a hundred kilograms. In this respect reports UPI.

Art Weston was fishing in a reservoir in Texas and managed to catch a large fish. A man pulled a 128kg Mississippi shellfish out of the water.

Individuals are at least a hundred years old, as stated by the International Sport Fishing Association. Weston broke the world record for shellfish caught 72 years ago, weighing 126.5 kg.

After weighing and recording the new success, the shellfish was released back into the reservoir.

Mississippi shellfish is the largest representative of the shellfish family, one of the largest freshwater fish in the United States. This is an ancient fish that appeared on the planet more than 100 million years ago, in the Mesozoic era.
