In a conversation with socialbites.ca, Roman, a former student of the Nizhny Novgorod Radio Engineering College, sided with the teacher who cursed and forced students to do push-ups because of their unkempt appearance in the classroom. According to the young man, the teacher gave good military training and said that his willingness to exercise for shaving had a positive effect on discipline.

“Sergey Sergeevich is a professional in his field. Many of the topics discussed on the topics of “antenna feeder devices” and “radio transmitter devices” were supported by real cases encountered in life. The teacher managed to instill interest in these subjects in our group. He conducted excellent military training – it turned out to be a demo version of the army, but without the brutal army things that the guys were already talking about during the service. Because we respected and respected this teacher, our lessons with him went more smoothly. “Our group completely agreed that a student in the class should look neat and even if we had unshaven students everyone could do 10-15 push-ups and this only worked positively in terms of discipline in the group,” he said.

Roman noted that the student who recorded the teacher’s behavior was not prepared for the subject and “held a grudge.”

“When communicating with other groups we heard only positive feedback that he was a great teacher who knew his stuff. No one around me said a bad word about him. The student who shot the video with the teacher actually did not want to study or improve his situation in any way, perhaps because of the way he dressed, he held a big grudge and was just complaining. Of course, there is no dress code at the university, but there is no need to go to extremes – after all, this is an educational institution with its own standards of morality. Sergei Sergeevich’s students are grateful to him for the knowledge and experience he passed on to us, because many of them went to the army, where they could serve in peace and not get into unpleasant situations with discipline. “When solving some technical problems, sometimes stories come to mind, so we already know how to solve this problem quickly,” he added.

Another former university student, Roman, explained in an interview with socialbites.ca that the teacher’s swearing during lessons “didn’t bother anyone” and that the teacher found fault with the students’ appearance because he wanted them to look neat during military training.

“Everyone said he was picky about his appearance because he had military training and everyone wanted him to be clean. So I won’t say he’s some kind of bully. And even now the young people are all impudent and mock the teachers, considering them nothing. Friends from other groups said that if you act normal, everything is fine. “As for the swearing, in principle it did not bother anyone,” he explained.

The mother of one of the students, Elena, admitted to socialbites.ca that she was grateful to the teacher and did not blame him for this behavior.

“We have a great group of guys coming out of this university who know their stuff. This type of communication isn’t always accurate, but we’ll miss the point. We must instill good behavior in ourselves, not in our teachers. Parents are given too much rights, teachers struggle with this situation and cannot always reproduce it correctly in order to teach the subject normally. I can’t say anything bad about the university or this teacher. “I am happy that my child graduated from there,” the woman concluded.
