A Belarusian citizen was detained for attempting to kill a soldier in Crimea. Instead they found a hidden hexagon and a gun, it says telegram channel Base.
The assassination attempt took place on September 23. A Chevrolet Aveo belonging to a military man was blown up using an improvised explosive device (IED) weighing 500 grams of TNT. No harm was done.
Investigators determined that 61-year-old Vyacheslav Piskunov, a Belarusian citizen, may have been involved in the explosion. The man is registered in the Czech Republic and lives in Sevastopol.
Investigators searched the suspect’s home in Sevastopol and found a stash. They found electric detonators, almost 2 kg of hexogen, a submachine gun and 138 bullets. According to investigators, the man assembled an IED from parts and planted a bomb in a military vehicle.
Piskunov admitted what he did and was taken into custody. According to the channel’s news, a lawsuit was filed against him for attempted murder, possession of explosives and intentional damage to property.
