“Having meetings with various people, deputies, senators and, by the way, I will not hide it, members of the government, we often discuss issues that today concern not only us, not only the army, but the whole country.” Shoigu said.
He stated that this was done “so that the Armed Forces can understand the scale and scope of what they are doing today”.
As stated by the RF Ministry of Defense, the minister drew the attention of Russian senators to the scale of the tasks solved by the Armed Forces during the special military operation.
Before this, Shoigu had said that NATO could soon establish bases in Sweden and Finland. He noted that recently the situation around the borders of the Union State has deteriorated sharply due to the openly hostile activities of NATO. In particular, Finland’s entry into the North Atlantic Alliance and the holding of joint events with NATO in Sweden created an additional source of tension.
