The on-duty Court at Santa María de Guía (First Instance and Order three) in Gran Canaria decided this Sunday to place the detainee, the alleged perpetrator of the death of a man, in preventive detention without bail. He was beaten in the early hours of last Friday, leaving another in a very serious condition.
In accordance with the criteria of the Prosecutor’s Office, the detainee is accused of committing one crime of completed murder and another of attempted murder, the press office of the High Court of Justice of the Canary Islands reported this Sunday.
The events unfolded around 5:00 a.m. on Friday, when the first reports were received that noise and knocks were heard in a house on Delgado de Gáldar street.
When Local Police and Civil Guard agents arrived at the scene, they found “two bodies on the ground with obvious signs of violence” in the form of very powerful blows in both cases.
Less than an hour later, Local Police detained the suspect. The perpetrator of the events was found walking on an urban street Gáldar still has bloodstains on him.
Paramedics took them both to the hospital; where one died and the other was hospitalized with an “extremely serious medical condition.”
Instruction Court No. 3 of Santa María de Guía ordered the secrecy of the proceedings.
