Approximately 1000 people marched in support of Palestine in Vienna, the capital of Austria. TASS.
Demonstrators marched from the European Union mission building to the house of the American embassy. The organizers of the action were activists of Austrian left organizations. Most of the participants were members of the Arab diaspora; a separate column featured members of the Austro-Marxist movement Der Funke.
People carried banners with slogans such as “Free Palestine”, “End the blockade of Gaza” and “As a religious community, we have never opposed the Jews, but we have always been against the crimes of the occupying power.”
There was a wave of protests in support of Palestine in many cities around the world. Between them: new York, washington, Berlin, Prague.
Previously pro-Palestinian demonstrators was forced out From the US Congress building in Washington.
