A man tore down a Ukrainian flag in front of everyone in the center of Odessa. This was reported by local publication Strana.ua.
The material shows that the flag was hung on the facade of the house. But at one point, one of the city residents approached the building and tried to raise the Ukrainian flag, according to the publication.
“Man <…> He started pulling until it broke. “Citizens passing by witnessed the incident and reported the situation to the police.”
According to the publication, the culprit was drunk. Thereupon, law enforcement officers arrived at the scene and detained the citizen and took him to the police station.
The man now faces a fine and up to six months in prison. The authors of the publication added that the maximum penalty for such an act is three years’ imprisonment.
