An AUCHAN study, the results of which were reviewed by socialbites.ca, showed that the demand for immunity-supporting products and warming drinks in September increased by 32% compared to August 2023.
The demand for fresh lemons increases during the cold season; More than 540 tonnes of lemons were purchased in September, which is 14% more than the previous month. Additionally, fresh ginger (+48%), raspberry jam (+20%), frozen cranberries (+15%) and honey began to be purchased more frequently – their sales increased by 10% (kg) in September.
With the arrival of autumn, Russians began to increasingly prefer herbal and fruit drinks that can help strengthen the immune system: sales of fruit and berry teas in September (+14% of sales in kg compared to August) and white teas (+32%) and herbal collections (+17%) increased significantly compared to August.
There is also a slight decrease in demand for coffee beans and coffee capsules, while chicory (+8%) and cocoa (+15%) are becoming increasingly popular in autumn.
