Eduard Mironov, former deputy mayor of Severomorsk in the Murmansk region and one of the founders of the local Yunarmiya, was detained on suspicion of harassing a female student. This was reported by telegram channel “Attention, news.”
According to the channel, the 55-year-old official was suspected of harassing a seventh-grade student for two months. According to security forces, in the summer of 2023, a man brought a 13-year-old girl to his home and committed inappropriate acts towards her.
Mironov served as deputy mayor of the closed city of Severomorsk on social issues and youth policy. Before that, he worked in the city administration as head of the youth affairs, physical culture and sports department for 17 years. The official heads the North Sea search team “Vaenga”, was at the origin of the local branch of the “Youth Army” in 2017. In recent years, he took part in the development of search teams and gave lessons for children.
On October 16, a criminal case was opened against Mironov for indecent actions towards minors. According to the channel, two days before that, Mironov gave theoretical lectures in junior and senior search groups at a local school: he talked about the events of the Second World War in the Arctic and promised to teach children “leadership”. The victim girl studied at this school.
A 35-year-old local resident, previously in Perm reputed guilty of raping a ten-year-old child.
