A study by scientists from SickKids, a large Canadian pediatric hospital, found that teens who use e-cigarettes often experience chronic stress. In this respect reports SciTechDaily.

The researchers used data from the Canadian Health Measures Survey, a national survey designed to collect responses from Canadians. Data from 905 people between the ages of 15 and 30 were included in the research. Of these, 115 (12.7%) said they used e-cigarettes.

It turns out that newspaper users are more likely to report experiencing chronic stress at work or at some point in their lives. Chronic stress can lead to mental disorders such as anxiety and depression. The results also showed that young people who use e-cigarettes have a lower quality of life.

The authors noted that people often resort to drinking alcohol, tobacco and vaping to relieve accumulated stress. Vaping is not an effective way to reduce anxiety; Stress and anxiety can make you crave e-cigarettes even more and make it harder to quit. Raising awareness about the dangers of vaping could motivate people to quit the unhealthy habit, the researchers added.
