The Council of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic approved the regulation on the procedure for foreign citizens to stay in the territory of the republic, which provides for the abolition of visa requirements.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that the practice of foreign citizens frequently leaving the country and returning to extend their stay in the country will now be limited to the introduction of the visa-free regime based on the 60/120 principle.

When using the visa-free regime for up to 60 days, re-entry to the relevant category of foreigners will now only be possible after 60 days from the previous date of departure from the country. The Ministry announced that the conditions for citizens who can visit Kyrgyzstan without a visa for up to 90 days will be calculated according to the 90/180 principle.

It was also recommended that foreigners plan their stay in advance and obtain “permission documents” if necessary.
