Biden noted that crimes, especially those motivated by anti-Semitism, increased by 25% from 2021 to 2022. He emphasized that more than half of crimes linked to religious hatred were linked to antisemitism.
Biden also said that crimes against LGBT individuals in the USA increased by 16 percent. Crime rates against African Americans and Muslim Americans remain high.
The US President said that due to the escalation of the situation around Israel, he instructed law enforcement agencies to prioritize work to eliminate threats within the country and prevent crimes against Jews, Arabs, Muslims and representatives of other population groups.
