Moscow University of Geodesy and Cartography (MIIGAiK) showed the results of its work in the field of space monitoring of specially protected natural areas. They reported that the Prioksko-Terrasny Nature Reserve was chosen as the experimental area RIA News citing the university press service.

The university noted that non-forested areas have remained virtually unchanged for more than five years, indicating minimal anthropogenic impact on the reserve area.

The research was made possible thanks to images taken from space. These materials helped scientists update vegetation maps and observe the dynamics of vegetation.
