In October, a law came into force in Russia prohibiting the extraction, collection, purchase, storage, transportation, transportation or sale of Red Book plants and mushrooms.
“If these acts are committed by a person using his official position or making a public demonstration on the Internet, then the punishment may be imprisonment for up to six years with a fine of up to two million rubles,” Vinogradov said.
He explained that a pensioner who accidentally collects Red Book mushrooms is unlikely to face criminal liability unless he has previously published information on social networks that he will collect Red Book mushrooms.
