At the same time, in Italy, a good budget wine of local production can cost three or four euros. However, due to delivery costs and other expenses, it is impossible to bring them to Russia and sell them at retail for a similar price, Potapenko said.
“This is not a problem with the greed of some damn retailers or everyone else – it’s a problem with the costs involved,” he explained, calling for reduced costs of accessing the Russian market for budget wines from Europe. In his opinion, such drinks can replace strong alcohol and low-quality beer.
