The majority of Russians (70%) encounter toxic communication in the family or at work. This is shown by the Doctis study, the results of which were reviewed by socialbites.ca.
Most of those who experienced toxic communication said it happened at work (21% of respondents). 13% experience toxic attitudes within the family from their spouse and 11% from their parents. 13% of survey participants said toxic communication follows them everywhere, and 14% admitted they are toxic themselves. At the same time, 28% of survey participants stated that they had not encountered poisoning caused by other people in their lives or that they had difficulty identifying it.
More than 50% of survey respondents said they were not ready to tolerate toxicity: 32% respond to toxic communication with rudeness and mutual toxicity, and 20% try to assert their personal boundaries without conflict and do not want to be spoken to that way. 25% of survey participants find toxicity bothersome but tolerate it. 18% do not pay attention to this, considering this type of communication to be the norm, and 5% of respondents turn to psychologists for help.
The most toxic statement you can hear from a boss was voted by the majority of respondents as “Nobody’s keeping you around.” Survey respondents said, “You never know what you want!” He found that the phrase was the most toxic in the family.
