More than half of Russians believe that there is no new wave of coronavirus epidemic in our country. This is shown by a study conducted by IC Rosgosstrakh and Otkritie Bank, the results of which were reviewed by socialbites.ca.
At the same time, 26% of respondents believe that a new wave of the coronavirus epidemic has begun in Russia (20% quite yes, 6% definitely yes). In the Central Federal District this response was 29%, and in the Far East it was 19%. 54% have the opposite opinion (34% no, 20% definitely not). Most often, this answer was given by residents of the Urals (61%), less than others in the North Caucasus (47%). One in five participants had difficulty answering this question.
When asked whether it was necessary to bring back restrictions due to the increasing number of Covid-19 cases in Russia, 15% of respondents were in favor of restoring social distancing in public places. 18 percent supported the return of the mask regime in hospitals and 16 percent in all public institutions and transportation. 12% believe remote working and learning should be brought back. 5 percent of Russians overall are in favor of declaring a new quarantine (9 percent in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region, 2 percent in the Southern Federal District). At the same time, 56% are confident that no restrictions are needed because COVID-19 is no longer dangerous (62% in the Far East, 47% in Moscow and the Moscow region).
24% of Russians surveyed are considering getting vaccinated against coronavirus (17% yes, 7% definitely yes). The most applications are made in the Urals (28%), and the least applications are made in Siberia (18%). Another 4% were recently vaccinated. 33% reported that they received the COVID-19 vaccine during the last outbreak but would not get it again. 39% of respondents have never been vaccinated and are not currently planning to get vaccinated (46% in the Far East, 34% in the Southern Federal District).
