Three pedestrians were killed and another injured when a bus lost its brakes and crashed into the side of a shopping mall in Cádiz this afternoon, police sources reported.
The accident occurred at around 15.45, when the bus, whose brakes ran out, went in the wrong direction while crossing the La Constitución 1812 bridge and crashed into the side of El Corte Ingles on Las Cortes Boulevard.
While three pedestrians lost their lives in the incident, another was injured and taken to Puerta del Mar Hospital in the capital Cadiz.
According to UCA sources, the bus was carrying 30 students from the School of Nursing of the University of Cádiz (UCA), based in Jerez de la Frontera, who were going to the Faculty of Medicine in the capital of Cadiz for an internship.
