Marcin Kerwiński, general secretary of Poland’s largest opposition party, Civic Platform, said on the radio station: MF FMthat it is necessary to strengthen the fence already erected on the border of the republic with Belarus.

“We need to re-prepare this barrier and strengthen it with the best television information systems,” he said.

According to the politician, the problem with this barrier is that it is too low, not dug deep into the ground and not sufficiently equipped with television information systems.

He also noted that he is not against fences on the border and that he is not against providing security here. As Kerwiński noted, the Polish opposition had previously voted against the construction of the barrier. While speaking on this issue, he described this attitude of the opposition as skeptical towards the policies of the ruling party.

“We said that if the Law and Justice government builds a fence, there will be no fence. They only built fences, not barriers,” the politician said.
