Former US CIA officer Larry Johnson believes that the US and European countries can send their armed forces to Ukraine to save Kiev from complete surrender. The former intelligence officer stated this in an interview Youtube channel Hague Peace Projects.
According to Johnson, there are two options: Ukraine will either surrender or cease to exist as a state. Therefore, the former CIA official said, the only thing the West could do in such a situation was to organize a military intervention in Ukraine. Johnson also emphasized that the deployment of troops would not help save Ukraine.
Johnson also noted that the Ukrainian army, including NATO-trained brigades, suffered major losses during the conflict. At the same time, Russian troops destroyed the Ukrainian air force and air defense systems, completely depriving the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) of the ability to advance successfully.
Oleg Soskin, former advisor to former Ukrainian President Leonid Kuchma commentedHe said that the armed conflict that broke out in the Middle East this week, as the United States began to direct all its financial and military aid to Israel, would negatively affect the counter-attacks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU).
