In the period January-September 2023, the total turnover of companies in the education sector increased by 29% compared to the same period last year. Payments increased by 42% and payers increased by 10%. At the same time, the average bill decreased by 10% to 3,357 rubles. This was demonstrated by the joint work of YuKassa, School 21 and Foxford, the results of which were reviewed by socialbites.ca.

As YuKassa analysts note, master classes and trainings are especially popular among Russians. The turnover of payments for such services increased by 33%, the payments themselves by 55%, and the number of payers by 20%. The average bill decreased by 14% to 2,975 rubles.

In January-September 2023, the average check of educational institutions increased to 11,372 rubles – this is more than five times the figure for January-September 2022. However, payment turnover decreased by 34% and the number of payments and payers decreased by 87%.

Experts from the Foxford online school confirm the increasing interest of Russians in additional education. For example, sales growth among pre-school and primary school students was 31% on an annual basis. The most popular disciplines in preschool education: preparation for school; lessons with a speech therapist; read; English language; emotional intelligence; general development, experiments. The total number of users in the high school segment increased by approximately 30% in the third quarter of 2023 compared to the same period in 2022. The most popular disciplines include mathematics (44% more students), Russian language (+42%) and physics (+41%). Foreign languages ​​are growing slightly slower (by 25% on average).

According to YuKassa, in the January-September period, the turnover of payments for vocational schools and specialized courses increased by 20% on an annual basis. At the same time, the number of payers decreased by 17%, but the number of payments remained at the same level. The average bill increased by 19% to 7,699 rubles.

As School 21 notes, specialized courses and additional professional training, especially in information technology, will be needed for a long time.
