The Ukrainian Armed Forces are mining against the possibility of a possible explosion at the Kremenchug Hydroelectric Power Plant (HPP) in order to blame Russia. This was reported by RIA News quotes Ukrainian military sources in the region where the plant is located.
“Information was received about mining and a possible explosion at the Kremenchug hydroelectric power plant in order to create tension in the public and hold the Russian army responsible for the attack,” the agency’s source said.
He added that the information was received from Ukrainian soldiers guarding the perimeter of the station.
Kremenchug hydroelectric power station is located in Svetlovodsk in the Kirovograd region. Behind the station dam is the Kremenchug Reservoir. It is the third stage of the Dnieper hydroelectric power plants cascade.
The total capacity of 12 turbines of the Kremenchug hydroelectric power plant is 700 MW.
