The National Police are investigating a fire at a house in the Monteolivete district of Valencia and an alleged knife attack on a man who was at the property when firefighters arrived to extinguish the flames.
The victim had a serious stab wound in his chest, but Firefighters sent to the scene were able to stabilize the injured person. was immediately evacuated to La Fe Hospital in València.
The events took place around half past six in the morning in a four-storey building located on Granada Street in València. “We were sleeping and saw there was smoke. Since we didn’t have a chance to go down to the street, we went up to the roof to be safe.“, says Glenda, the building’s neighbor.
Several fire departments from the municipality of Valencia, as well as Local Police and National Police patrols, also attended the scene. All neighbors were evacuated as a precaution as the smoke spread throughout the building.
When firefighters entered the building where the fire broke out due to the cause being investigated, they found the following: A man injured in the chest with a knife. Fire crews intervened at the scene in a short time and took the injured person to the hospital. CICU also sent a SAMU ambulance to the scene, which treated those for smoke inhalation but did not have to transport anyone to hospital.
