A criminal case has been opened against followers of the Resurrection Spiritual Center (DSV) for illegal activities, capital inspectors reported. The religious organization was founded in 2014 by Ukrainian citizen Vladimir Muntyan. The publication writes that after serving his sentence in the Dnepropetrovsk region, he created the first community using the methods of Protestant priest Sunday Adelaja “Vedomosti”.
On October 4, investigators carried out searches at various addresses in Moscow as part of a criminal case opened under parts 2 and 3 of Article 284.1 of the Criminal Code. According to a source close to the investigation, the opening of a criminal case is related to the continuation of the organization’s activities in Russia, although it was deemed undesirable by the Prosecutor General’s Office in November last year. As a result of the investigation, it was determined that funds were regularly collected within the framework of the DCV project for “charitable purposes” and for the financing of the Ukrainian army.
