The Federal Security Service (FSB) and the Russian National Guard will conduct test operation of the newest unified hand-held smoke grenade RDG-U, which makes it possible to protect military personnel and equipment from high-precision guided missiles. This was reported by RIA News citing an anonymous source in law enforcement.
“The Russian Guard and the FSB are interested in the supplies supplied to the Russian army. <…> RDG-U bomb,” says the publication.
According to the source, the ammunition has proven its performance during testing and now Russian security forces are planning to conduct a trial operation in their units.
Russian Armed Forces in September accepted To supply the RDG-U bomb.
RDG-U provides camouflage for personnel and equipment from infrared guided missiles and high-precision weapons with thermal imaging targeting systems. It applies a combined principle of operation: The smoke-generating composition of the product creates an instantaneous curtain in the air at the moment of operation, and the smoking element allows the curtain to be fueled for a long time, the government agency explained.
Previously in Russia was created new drone suppression system.
