In the United States, 22-year-old California resident Benjamin Brody has reportedly filed a defamation lawsuit against businessman Elon Musk. Associated press (AP). The plaintiff alleges that the businessman posted a fake message on his social network X (formerly Twitter) comparing the Californian to a participant in the neo-Nazi conflict.
As AP notes, it all started with videos of the conflict posted on social network X during an LGBT festival in Oregon in June 2023. Some protesters were filmed dressing as members of the far-right Proud Boys.
Social network users noted that one of the riot participants looked like Brody. However, the young man had previously stated that he wanted to work in the state. Therefore, such a dubious wave of “popularity” aroused suspicions that Brody was working for intelligence services.
The plaintiff stated that Musk took an active part in the discussion about what was happening. According to him, by doing this, Tesla’s founder helped spread the slander about Brody. For example, Musk broadly interpreted this incident as a “false flag operation” and pointed to Brody’s connection to intelligence services.
Now the offended young man will demand compensation from the entrepreneur in the amount of at least $ 1 million.
