“This is an educational project where information is presented objectively. Thanks to the cooperation with the Presidential Library, more useful and accurate information emerges. This allows the encyclopedia to stand out very favorably against the background of, for example, the foreign resource Wikipedia, which is famous for its biased moderation and a large amount of fake information. “Ruviki publishes materials after careful verification by experts,” Khinshtein added.
Earlier, within the framework of the international conference of librarians of the CIS countries “Cultural diversity of the Commonwealth: library initiatives”, General Director of the Presidential Library Yuri Nosov and General Director of the Internet encyclopedia “Ruviki” Vladimir Medeyko signed a cooperation agreement. .
Long-term partnerships between organizations plan to expand the knowledge of Internet users in the field of history, theory and practice of the Russian state, as well as the Russian language as the state language of the Russian Federation, by providing it to readers of the Internet encyclopedia. Ruviki” provides access to electronic copies of documents in the presidential library collections.
The collections of the Presidential Library digitally include books and periodicals, newsreels, photographs, scientific and educational films, thesis summaries, archival documents and materials reflecting the history of Russia, economic and diplomatic relations between Russia and other countries in different historical periods.
