A court in Kuban sentenced a person who was previously arrested for spreading false news about the Russian Armed Forces. This is what the United States reported press service Courts of the Krasnodar region.
According to investigators, the man spread information about the alleged involvement of the Russian side in the demolition of buildings on Ukrainian territory. Moreover, the defendant himself knew that these data did not correspond to reality.
“For this, the attacker received a monetary reward from the user as gratitude,” the publication says.
The Russian was sentenced to eight years and five months in prison, which he will spend in a general regime colony. The court also banned him from engaging in work-related activities in the media. A man must comply with this restriction for four years.
