Head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova stated that there is no justification for introducing a full mask regime in the Russian Federation due to the spread of coronavirus. He spoke about this issue within the framework of joint international exercises of mobile laboratories in the Astrakhan region. TASS.

As Popova said, global anti-Covid restrictions do not currently apply anywhere in the country. Only a few regions of Russia decided to take appropriate measures and extend them to certain classes and schools.
Speaking about the reasons for the actions of the authorities, the head of the department said: “Basically, this is not the flu or Covid yet, but the sum of ARVI.”
He also noted that by the fall of 2023, state residents will face only one strain of flu, H1N1. According to Popova, this strain is the most dangerous of the four strains the vaccine is designed to protect against.
In this context, relevant institutions and units are now faced with the task of vaccinating at least 70% of the population at risk. The head of Rospotrebnadzor summarized that 18 million people have been vaccinated to date.
