A resident of Voronezh filed a lawsuit after he was injured when a grenade his daughter gave him exploded. In this respect reported on the website of the Voronezh Regional Court, to which the defendant company filed an appeal.

The grenade was given to the victim as a gift by his daughter on February 23. After a while, the man decided to try it in front of his grandchildren, and the dummy the woman bought from a fishing store exploded. As a result, the man’s health suffered moderate damage and he decided to claim non-pecuniary damages from the commercial enterprise.

In his statement, the plaintiff noted that explosive products were displayed right next to the safe, so a dangerous “toy” that anyone could buy could even fall into the hands of a child.

“Products are sold without giving any information to the consumer. There is no indication of the country and company of manufacture, no information about its operation, and no warning signs indicating that this product is explosive and may harm health and property. In court documents, it was stated that there were no instructions for use when purchasing the product and the sellers did not give any warnings during the sale.

As a result, the court partially met the applicant’s requests. It was decided to impose a fine of 100 thousand rubles on the company in favor of the plaintiff, as well as compensation for non-pecuniary damage in the amount of 200 thousand rubles. The court rejected the defendant’s objection.
