Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Defense of the Russian Federation Yuri Shvytkin said that there will be no new wave of mobilization in Russia in the autumn of 2023. This was reported by RTVI.
According to him, today there is no plan such as a second, third phase or general mobilization.
Shvytkin emphasized that the so-called mobilization orders were fake and should not be fooled. The parliamentarian believes that these are provocations by Ukraine.
“I repeat once again: mobilization is not expected today,” the deputy said.
His words were supported by MP Viktor Sobolev, who emphasized that “there will be absolutely no mobilization this year.”
Before that, St. Deputy Governor of St. Petersburg Kirill Polyakov statedthat city officials do not see the prerequisites for a new wave of mobilization.
The other day, Russian President Vladimir Putin answered the question about a new mobilization in Russia at the general assembly meeting of the Eastern Economic Forum. According to him, 300 thousand people were drafted into Russian troops. In addition, in the last 6-7 months, 270 thousand people signed service contracts in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and volunteer units.
