Participants in Russia’s special operation in Ukraine began to use “Ghoul” FPV unmanned aerial vehicles, produced with funds sent by the country’s citizens, in the direction of Donetsk. A representative of the developer company spoke about it, according to reports TASS.

The agency’s interlocutor explained that during positional combat operations, a platoon can use three to four unmanned aerial vehicles per day. He also stated that two workshops were allocated for the assembly of these aircraft, whose total area is only 30 square meters.

“If they help us with the facility and at least some financing, I think we can reach a thousand ‘Ghouls’ a month,” the business’s representative added.

According to him, initially unmanned aerial vehicles were provided only to front-line troops from Grayvoron to Kherson. The agency’s source said that thanks to the regular use of drones, the Russian army forced the fighters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) to retreat, after which it was decided to provide Ghouls to the troops in the Donetsk direction.

FPV drones (First Person View or “first-person view” – “socialbites.ca”) are UAVs controlled by video glasses and a remote control. Typically such drones do not have an autopilot.

Formerly Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation published Footage of an FPV attack drone operating in a special operations zone.
